HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED?

Ideally, as soon as you know you need our services, we’d like to hear from you. It’s our goal to exceed your expectations. A 1-2 week notice is optimal but we can often arrange your delivery within a couple days.

WHERE WILL MY CAR BE PICKED UP AND DELIVERED?

Our drivers will find the safest way to pick up and transport your vehicle. It is illegal and unsafe for trucks to enter residential areas due to narrow roads, low hanging power lines and tight turns. All of these dangers put your vehicle and our trucks at risk. Transporting trucks need 150 feet diameter to turn and enough space to unload other vehicles in order to place your vehicle in the optimal location on the transporter. In order to best protect your car, our driver will meet you in a convenient and safe loading location such as a large local parking lot, rest area or spacious industrial area. If you are unable to meet the driver, or live in a major metropolitan area where our trucks can not navigate -  such as Long Island - we can arrange for a flatbed tow truck to pick up your vehicle and take it to the loading area for an additional service fee.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE ONCE MY VEHICLE IS PICKED UP?

Most coast to coast deliveries take between 10 and 14 days for delivery. Northeast cars take up to 16 days, depending on destination. To reduce your frustration we do not promise a delivery or pick up date due to the potential for unforeseen delays such as weather, road conditions, mechanical failures, and other customer’s delays that could effect our delivery time. We will provide a 4-5 day window for pick up and delivery and then update you to narrow that down and make arrangements as we get closer. Please let us know your ideal time frame, we will do everything in our power to meet your goals.

HOW CAN I CHECK ON THE STATUS OF MY VEHICLE?

Please do not hesitate to simply call us and find out where your car is. We have constant contact with our drivers and are happy to put you in direct contact if needed.

IS MY CAR INSURED WHILE IN YOUR CARE?

Absolutely! We insure our cargo and liability with no deductible to our customer. Occurrences not covered are listed under our TERMS OF SERVICE and the bill of lading upon which your car is shipped. A vehicle inspection report is done at the time we pick up your vehicle, signed by both driver and the person releasing your vehicle and again at delivery by the driver and the person receiving the vehicle. If for some reason you feel that some damage has occurred, you must note it on the report before it is signed and before the driver leaves in order for a claim to be honored.

CAN I SHIP ITEMS IN MY CAR?

No. It is against the law for a licensed motor carrier to transport anything that isn’t covered under their USDOT operating authority. In fact, items not included on the driver’s bill of lading can be confiscated and the carrier fined and even suspended – your personal items could be removed by authorities and left on the side of the road! This is not a risk are willing to take, for your sake and to maintain our good name in the industry. Personal belongings left in a vehicle are NOT insured and can cause the vehicle to weigh more than what we account for. This puts your vehicle, the transport and driver at risk. So please remove your personal items from your vehicle before pick up.

WHAT IF MY VEHICLE ARRIVES TO THE DESTINATION BEFORE I DO?

If you or your agent is not available to receive the vehicle, be assured we will continue to protect your vehicle. It will be kept in a locked storage facility. If this was not pre-arranged, storage and delivery fees will apply to your final bill.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE MY CAR FOR TRANSPORT?

There must be no obvious fluid leaks. Your battery must be secure in the mounting bracket. The vehicle must be clean for inspection, a dirty vehicle decreases the ability to perform a quality inspection. The gas tank must be between 1/8 and ¼ full - no more than ¼ full. Remove all devices that are not built in to the car (radios, phones, garage door openers, toll detection devices, CDs and CD players, etc. – remove all personal items, they are not insured and can add unaccounted for weight. Items that can remain in the car: standard vehicle items such as spare tire and jack. Remove exterior items that are not permanent to the vehicle: grills covers, spare tire covers, car covers, non-permanent luggage racks, bike racks, ski racks, etc. All antennas must be fully retracted or removed. Plants and hazardous materials are FORBIDDEN BY LAW from being transported, do not leave these in the vehicle. One set of ALL keys for the vehicle MUST be provided. The vehicle must be operable – if your vehicle becomes inoperable during transport, you will be responsible for towing and winching services if required. Advise us ahead of time of any modifications to your vehicle (i.e. 4x4 lift kit, camper shell, lowered, etc.) these modifications sometimes require extra service and fees may apply. Your vehicle may not exceed 7’ in height

WHAT IS THE PICK UP AND DELIVERY PROCESS?

You or your designated representative must be present for the inspection at the time of pick-up and delivery and sign the bill of lading and condition report at both origin and destination (pick up and delivery. You and/or your designated representative are responsible for confirming your vehicle’s condition. In the unlikely even there is damage on delivery, it must be noted on the bill of lading at the time the car is delivered.  Please help us perform a excellent vehicle inspection by having your vehicle cleaned before transport. NOTE: We are not brokers, we do not broker cars out and will do our best to transport your vehicle within your specifications but our trucks are always on the move and we must find the most efficient route and time to pick up and deliver, we appreciate your patience as we make your vehicle’s safety our top priority!
